It is said that in the Tang dynasty, there lived an illusionist whose name has been lost to time, and who often wandered among the markets and stalls. One day, he chanced upon a temple gate, where a woman was chanting sutras. When she reached the verse, "All things are as a dream within a bubble, fleeting as the morning dew or the thunder. Thus, we should contemplate so." The illusionist was suddenly enlightened. And so he devised a technique, one which he named Phantom Bubble.\nThe largest bubbles conjured by this illusion are as broad as an urn, the smallest as small as a peck-measure. They held their form without dispersing, and within them swirled five colors, shimmering like a rainbow. Their hollow centers remained clear and translucent, large enough to hold a person, the world within was that of a glazed crystal. Whenever he performed this art amid the markets, onlookers would gather in crowds.\nThe illusionist once said, "Life, so full of turmoil, yet fleeting like a dream in a bubble. Yet such an existence may bring its own delight."\nLater, this technique spread to the central land. It brought great joy to the children, and they would spend a whole day playing and chasing the bubbles.\nA tale of the fleeting past, such a wondrous thing indeed.
