With running eaves and brackets, blue pillars and green tiles, it stands in towering majesty as the crown of all buildings within the order. Scholars from across the world travelled far, bearing satchels and books upon their backs to add to its keeping. By day, leaning close to the window, light and shadow fall across the ancient pages; deep in the night, holding a candle aloft, sparks are reflected among the lines. Books are kept here, and the cultural lineage is unbroken. All the writings of the world find their way home to this place.
