Mulberry Picker is the title of a classic Ci-poem melody pattern, also known by names such as Luofu's Charm and Little Rascal. It features a double-tone structure of forty-four characters, with both the upper and lower stanzas comprising four lines each. It maintains a single level-tone rhyme scheme throughout, and the third line of both stanzas frequently employs repeating syllables. The melody originated from a Tang dynasty royal conservatory piece titled Picking Mulberries Beneath the Poplar. Various poets favored it, giving it distinct names: Li Yu of the Southern Tang called it Song of the Little Rascal, Feng Yansi named it Song of Luofu's Charm, while He Zhu and Chen Shidao also adopted these alternate titles. Its surviving musical score can be found in the Japanese compilation Boya Flute Score.
