The compilation of this work began in the late Tang dynasty. Co-authored by the scholars of the Inkbound Order, it remains an unfinished edition to this day. It curates poetry from the Tang era, categorizing them by a myriad of themes: farming, seasons and climates, day and night, flowers, bamboo and trees, astronomy, geography, palaces, implements, music, birds and beasts, insects, and human character. Compiled during times of chaos, it was designed as a beginner's guide to poetry. The true intent behind it, however, is to preserve these poetic masterpieces and safeguard the cultural lineage. Once these verses spread to rustic villages and city streets, becoming songs that even young children can recite casually, only then will the cultural lineage endure through the ages.
